At the end of the month, Anthony Joshua will climb into a ring with Joseph Parker for a title fight in Cardiff. In attendance at the fight will be UFC president Dana White.
According to the Telegraph, White is set to approach Joshua with a £353 million promotional deal in a bid to convince the British heavyweight to join UFC's ranks.
Joshua is currently promoted by Eddie Hearn and Matchroom booking and recently told IFL TV he was in the process of negotiations to re-sign with Hearn.
The Hearns are focused and they have established from the ground up, they have bloted in and out and now they are on their way to the top. Business is purely based on survival and there are no friends in this shit. So if you cannot beat them, join them.
In the aftermath of Conor McGregor's foray into boxing, UFC applied for a boxing licence in Nevada and White publicly spoke of Anthony Joshua's incredible "marketability."
As recently as last week Joshua hinted at his willingness to try MMA, while speaking on the Sky Sports podcast.
I feel like a good scrap would be, I think the guy from Congo [Ngannou], I think he just lost recently. Big unit, that’d be a good scrap. Then you’ve got Jon Jones, that’d be a good scrap.
Yeah. I’d have to obviously have a couple of warm-up fights because you have to learn the submissions and stuff. But a fight’s a fight at the end of the day. Yeah man, I’d do it.
