Often mooted for a potential crossover to the octagon himself, World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has launched a somewhat typical tirade against Conor McGregor following the latter's crushing defeat to Nate Diaz.
Three years ago, the Gypsy King called out then-UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez who he described as "a small, stiff idiot" and a "tit." Fury has flirted with the idea of partaking in mixed martial arts ever since, and was rumoured to be in talks with Bellator as recently as last May.
Back in December, Fury told fight journalist Ariel Helwani that "MMA is for people who can't box." And the current heavyweight boxing king, no stranger to firing shots at Conor McGregor, was at it again this evening - presumably after having watched UFC 196.
He's not usually one to mince his words, is Fury, particularly when he gets annoyed about things for literally no reason at all.
Both top UFC fighters lost this weekend, @HollyHolm showed more ball than @TheNotoriousMMA

It seems harsh, but everything Fury says can be taken with a pinch of salt considering he's one of the biggest wind-up merchants in sport. Alas, the nonsense that is the boxing vs MMA debate is such that we decline to comment any further.
