Tyson Fury Gave A Concise Assessment Of Anthony Joshua's Facile Heavyweight Title Victory

On Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London, Anthony Joshua claimed the belt which Tyson Fury held for just nine days late last year.

The IBF heavyweight title was one those which Fury claimed when he defeated Wladmimir Klitzchko in November. However, he was stripped of the belt by the IBF because of his rejection of a mandatory defence against Vyacheslav Glazkov. Instead, Fury opted for a rematch against Klitschko which will take place on jam-packed weekend of sport in July.

The man who Joshua KO'd last night was Charles Martin. The American won the IBF belt with victory against Glazkov in January.

Last night, it was a facile win for the Olympic gold medalist. It took him less than two rounds to finish off Martin. Two knockdowns in the space of less than 30 seconds were enough. An impressive win - on the surface.

Someone not impressed with Joshua was Tyson Fury. The WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion felt both Joshua and his opponent were far less than dynamic with their movement.

Fury also issued a challenge to the newly-crowned title holder.
