Two fights into his much-anticipated comeback, Tyson Fury notched off another fairly routine win under the rain in Belfast's Windsor Park this evening.
While Francesco Pianeta was scarcely thought to be any match for the unbeaten heavyweight, much was being made pre-fight of the presence of Deontay Wilder at ringside.
The WBC heavyweight champion that has long been touted as Anthony Joshua's next plausible opponent, it is becoming ever more likely that Fury vs Wilder is a much more likely prospect.
Fury's promoter and Wilder himself both confirmed that the bout had been arranged, with details expected to emerge next week.
However, as he continues to prepare himself for such an event with this series of fairly straight-forward fights, it is becoming apparent that viewers are far from impressed.
Taking tonight's win at his own - relatively sedate - pace throughout, the final bell brought an audible chorus of boos from the Belfast crowd. While David Haye argued that Fury was perhaps holding back so as not "to scare" Wilder away, certain viewers have been less generous.

Cosy for Fury against unambitious opponent. I've seen better punch-ups down my local#FuryPianeta— Francis Keogh (@HonestFrank) August 18, 2018
Heard some shite tonight
"Fury wants to go 10 rounds"
"He doesn't want to show Wilder how good he really is"
If Fury could bang this guy out in 1 round he would have. He's not a puncher.— LL Cool K (@Kurt__Ward) August 18, 2018

Speaking post-fight, Fury explained that he "needed the rounds" to get back to the desirable level he wishes to fight at.
