Jamie Vardy is a racist and Tyson Fury is a homophobe of the highest order. It's been a tough weekend for anyone who supports the underdog story but wants to hold on to their moral principles. The Telegraph's Jonathan Liew has done a decent job of outlining why it's tough for many people to row in behind the love of England's new everyday footballing hero.
As for Tyson Fury, it doesn't really take much outlining. His views on homosexuality have no place in a modern, relatively enlightened, world and no amount of wins over Wladimir Klitschko can hide that. It's sickening stuff. He's had, and will continue to have, his defenders who say his personal views have nothing to do with his achievements but when he's being so publicly lauded for his achievements, that's not quite true.
It's 100% correct for him to be getting every accolade his boxing deserves but you can't raise him up on a public pedestal without adding an asterisk for anyone who could be influenced by his personal beliefs.
That situation has been addressed by Labour MP and Shadow Leader of the House of Commons, Chris Bryant, who has some very strong words as to why he won't be celebrating Britain's latest heavyweight champ.
I'm not celebrating Tyson Fury's win. His aggressive style of foul homophobia is precisely the kind that leads to young gay suicides.

For anyone who defends Fury's right to broadcast the opinion that the acceptance of homosexuality is akin to the acceptance of paedophilia then perhaps it's time to have a think about the people that kind of thinking does so much damage to.
