Katie Taylor beat Amanda Serrano on Friday evening in a title fight with no shortage of controversy. The Bray fighter had a point deducted for a headbutt as Serrano battled through the fight with a massive cut above her eye.  Still she won by a unanimous decision

There was also some controversy after the fight.

Taylor's promoter Eddie Hearn - who's been a far quieter presence at this fight compared to Taylor-Serrano I - had a confrontation with media reps in the bowels of the AT&T Stadium right before ascending the dais for the press conference.

Filmed footage shows Brian Peters speaking to someone off camera and threatening to boycott the press event unless Hearn was allowed on stage.

"Are you joking? Are you out of your mind? Don't be acting the sh*t. Three people go up or not at all."

Hearn then accompanied Taylor on stage for the press conference.

Eddie Hearn on Katie Taylor's win

It was a victory that Hearn no doubt enjoyed given the tension between himself and Jake Paul MVP's promotions.

Hearn gave his two cents on the boisterous celebration and all the emotion he released after Taylor won the fight in the post fight press conference.

We've had a great experience. It was an incredible show. I had my opinions about the fight. It doesn't mean but I'm over now. We had an incredible promotion. An incredible event. We had millions of eyeballs on Katie Taylor and female boxing.

I just wanted her to win. And we're the away team and there's nothing like an away win. We have been like that [punches fists] with MVP but that's how it is. If they had won, they would have gone absolutely mental. I went mental.  I made an idiot out of myself. If I offended anyone, I apologise. That's just what it meant to me. And I'm never going to not show that emotion because the journey we've been on has been incredible.  But that's just what it meant to me.

But when we got the decision - and I worried if it was close, if we would get the decision, and probably the build-up of a lot of big fights going against us - and it's like when are we going to get the rub of the green after one of these big fights? And I thought we deserved it and we got it and it's just sweet as a nut.

Hearn also said there's no plan yet for a third fight in the trilogy.
