Stephen Donnelly has secured a very important win for Irish boxing after a disappointing couple of days in Rio.
The Ballymena man defeated his Mongolian opponent to ensure his progression to the quarter-finals of the men's 69kg event, and issued a defiant message to the RTÉ cameras after claiming the split decision win.
With the elimination of Paddy Barnes and Michael O'Reilly's return to Ireland, it was great to see an Irish boxer with something to celebrate.
"I'm flying now, anything is possible," says Steven Donnelly https://t.co/FVijxvKwWA

Well done that man. A close contest, but he got the job done.
He will now face the Moroccan #1 and current world champion in the last 8.
