It wasn't the most interesting fight in the world, but it did shock the world. Wladimir Klitschko had his 11-year unbeaten run broken by Tyson Fury by a unanimous decision.
There was a rematch clause in the fight contract, and now Klitschko has confirmed that he will be taking up that clause in the new year.
Tyson Fury's trainer, Peter Fury, welcomes Klitschko's announcement, and counters Klitschko's comments on his underperformance in Dusseldorf by proclaiming that Fury has a lot more to give:
Tyson had a lot more to give as well. I think it’s going to be great for both guys, because I said after the fight that Tyson only performed only about 60-65 per cent of his potential, so I’m looking forward to getting the fight on and letting Tyson do 100 per cent of what we know we can do.
I see the outcome being no different.
While Fury himself mentioned Croke Park as a possible venue for a rematch, Peter said that they are looking at Wembley for the rematch. Watch out Carl Froch.
