Twice in the space of 25 seconds, Billy Joe Saunders had Andy Lee on the canvas during their WBO middleweight title fight.
It was a moment which went against the narrative; Lee rather than Saunders was supposed to be the one with the knockout power. Instead, two outstanding right hands from the British fighter rocked the Limerick man.
Somehow, Lee recovered, managing to finish the round and the fight. He would eventually lose by majority decision, a remarkable feat when you consider that it looked inconceivable, at one stage, that he would even complete the third round.
Lee mounted a comeback in the middle to late rounds as Saunders, like a football team with a lead, retreated to defend his 18-yard box.
One judge actually scored the fight as a draw (113 - 113) but despite a valiant comeback effort, it would not be enough for the Limerick southpaw.
