We all know Roy Keane is a guide dog devotee, and does a lot of other private charity work, but it can be pretty easy to see the Corkman as a rather cold, unfeeling figure.
Well, that's just not the case, and we have the proof right here. At Ireland's training session today, Keane was pictured with Merryn Lacy, a four-year-old who has neuroblastoma cancer. She was greeted at Malahide by Keane, as well as squad members including John O'Shea, Darren Randolph and Séamus Coleman.
She also met the Rugby squad last month, and was introduced to Robbie Keane and Katie Taylor last December.
@Paulmcgrath5 Merryn's special power is to make people smile. It worked on Roy Keane. http://t.co/hBySYOSZL1 pic.twitter.com/tf3ZKJ1uml
