He told the Irish Times last month 'We’ve all been talking about it [turning professional]. We’ve all been talking about the pros. Every single person on that team wants to go professional at some stage in their career.'
He had said he would consider turning pro if he won a gold at the championships but despite his loss today it looks like he still could make the switch.
