Michael Conlan won the sixth fight of his pro career on St. Patrick's Day at the Madison Square Garden Theater in New York.
It took Conlan less than two rounds to finish Hungarian, David Berna.
Conlan had his opponent on the deck inside the opening round with a shot to the body but Berna managed to get back to his feet just in time.
Just 30 seconds into the second round, Berna was on his knees again facing a count but managed re-establish his uprightness. Though, the fight would not last much longer.
20 seconds later, the referee stepped in to stop the fight with Berna looking uneasy on his feet as Conlan unleashed a barrage of shots against the ropes.
Last night's bout took place a year after Conlan's debut at the same venue. Post-fight, Conlan said he felt the victory against Berna had been a better performance than that against Tim Ibarra a year ago
Conlan also expressed a desire for his next fight to be back home in Belfast.
