Shortly after, in an interview where he a little bit calmer, Conlan also spoke to BBC.

Bar the judges, those watching felt Conlan had dominated the first round. Astonishingly, his Russian opponent won it on all three judges' cards.
Conlan - who had a feeling he was being screwed over - gave us a little insight into what was going on in his head during the fight.
In the first round it was so easy, I was so comfortable in the corner. I wasn't even out of breath. I was like 'this is easy, what's going on?'
I had to go to war, which I did and outfought him at his own game. I pulled back that round. Then I thought in the last round I outfought him too.
