We are looking forward to this one already. Katie Taylor will have a chance to take hold of another lightweight title in March, when she takes on WBO champion Rose Volante in Philadelphia.
The bout will take place on St. Patrick's weekend, with a strong Irish contingent in the city sure to turn out in force as Taylor continues her quest to become the undisputed champion of the world. Promoter Eddie Hearn took to Twitter to confirm the fight, with more details on the card to be announced shortly.

While the exact date and venue has yet to be confirmed, it is likely to take place in the Liacouras Centre on March 16th.
This will without doubt be the biggest fight of the Bray native's professional career thus far. Taylor currently boasts a 12-0 professional record, with five wins coming via knockout. Currently holder of the WBA and IBF lightweight belts, a victory over WBO champ Volante would put her well on the way to becoming the undisputed champion of the lightweight division.
36-year old Brazilian Volante also boasts an undefeated record, winning all 14 of her professional fights. She also has a higher knockout rate than the Irishwoman, with eight of her victories coming via stoppages.
A victory over Volante would give Taylor three of the four lightweight titles, with another unification fight with WBC champion Delfine Persoon surely on the card should she emerge from this one victorious.
