Nathan McIntosh found himself on the canvas unable to return to his feet with just seconds left in the first round against Louis Adolphe on Saturday night.
Adolphe and McIntosh were scheduled for eight rounds on the George Groves vs James Cox undercard live on Sky Sports at the Wembley Arena.
McIntosh would be declared the winner, however. That was due to Adolphe's KO punch being thrown after the break.
Adolphe stood on the turnbuckle in celebration as his opponent lay on the ground. His celebrations would be short-lived. Referee Howard Foster told Adolphe that he had failed to take a step back after a break had been called. Adolphe's disqualification was confirmed moments later.
The disqualification goes down as the first defeat of 25-year-old Adolphe's career - he's now 7-1. 29-year-old McIntosh is now 14-2.
