This is the Katie Taylor stoppage that won her the first professional fight of her career against Karina Kopinska in London. It was a bout where Taylor was clearly the far superior fighter and was designed just to get her started without any hiccups at the start of her career.
Taylor said afterwards that she is hopeful of a world title fight in Ireland next year with the support of Eddie Hearn who heaped praise on her post-fight, saying that she coped well with the "huge pressure on her shoulders". He admitted "we needed a good start tonight" and said it was going to be a "great, great journey" for her. Taylor fights on the Anthony Joshua undercard on December 10th in Manchester where she will undoubtedly be supported by a huge amount of Irish fans.
