Katie Taylor's next fight has been confirmed: she'll step back into the ring to fight Amanda Serrano in a rematch of their epic 2022 fight at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The rematch will take place on 20 July in Arlington, Texas at AT&T Stadium, home to the Dallas Cowboys. It will be the co-main event on the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson card.
Paul, of course, is Serrano's promoter.
The event will also be the first live sporting event of its kind to take place exclusively on Netflix. The streaming giant have said they are interested in exploring sports streaming.
Serrano will move up three weight classes from her last fight to take on Taylor, and the format will be 10 rounds, each two minutes long.
Finally!!! I promised my fans this rematch and I wanted it to be 12x3 minute rounds. But Katie wanted 10x2 - she’s the champ, so that is what we will do.
I believe I won our first fight, but I didn’t get the decision. This time I’m not leaving it to the judges. No more sweet… pic.twitter.com/2G5WbM2V4F

Some of the immediate reaction to the announcement said Taylor and Serrano should be headlining their own card, given how amazing their first fight was.
Taylor's promoter Eddie Hearn sounded dubious about the card when speaking about it last week.
“And as a hardcore fight fan, someone who has been around boxing since I was nine years old, I find it disgusting that a 58-year-old man – who was my hero growing up – firstly has to even get back in the ring.”
However, it will be one of the biggest ever audiences for a boxing card - men's or women's and Taylor has assured herself a massive pay cheque.
