I really don't know enough of Katie Taylor's sense of humour to know whether she'd like this or not, but the Republic of Telly's 'Katie Taylored' sketch from last night was pretty funny all the same. Depicting the darling of the nation as a woefully mismanaged, rapping innocent who never takes her gloves off. Jennifer Maguire's mannerisms and voice alone are worthy of a few laughs.
Also, before anybody gets mad, a born-again Christian like Taylor would most likely consider a St Anthony superstition to be needless idolatry - wow, so there's one thing I agree with them on - so it's fair to say that an accurate representation of the Olympic champion wasn't the intention of Maguire and co. Well, that and LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE in the sketch.
