Katie Taylor didn't waste much time this evening as she put Kimberly Connor's challenge to rest within the third-round of her IBF title defence. On the undercard of tonight's Heavyweight clash between Dillian White and Joseph Parker, Taylor put on a masterclass performance that left her looking in complete control throughout.

In possession of a 10-0 professional record now, Taylor did look to be hurt early on when an innocuous collision (Taylor herself reckoned it might have been a punch) led to a swelling under her eye.

Although it never really had time to materialise into a real problem for the Irish boxer. Forcing the American Connor on the defensive right from the off, the referee was forced to intervene during the third, bringing Connor's challenge to a brief end.

Speaking after the fight, Taylor reiterated her intention to unify all the lightweight belts. With the IBF and WBA titles already in her possession, it looks to be only a matter of time before she can carry out her intention.

After another fairly routine victory, Eddie Hearn, Taylor's promoter, mooted the possibility of Katie Taylor moving up in weight to find a greater standard of opponent for the Bray native.

For now, Taylor will look forward to an October clash in Chicago against Cindy Serrano.
