Katie Taylor won her fifth consecutive World Championship title early on Monday morning.
Not long afterwards, Paddy Barnes, one of her Irish Olympic boxing team comrades, tweeted his congratulations but also threw down a gauntlet, asking could she match his two Commonwealth Games titles.
Here @KatieTaylor ya may have 5 World titles but have ya got 2 Commonwealth Games titles??? #fightme

Taylor responded this morning, in one tweet knocking Barnes, the Commonwealth Games and probably her own mother's pugilistic abilities.
@paddyb_ireland haha! The commonwealths?! Sure my Ma would win a gold medal in that!!

After the RTÉ Sport Twitter account tweeted out a screenshot of the Barnes and Taylor exchange asking "Score this round to @KatieTaylor?", the Belfast boxer took umbrage with their lack of screentime for amateur boxing.
@RTEsport @KatieTaylor would love the public to see how really good she is, pity you don't show amateur boxing #illscorethisonetomyself
