Jason Quigley claims Amanda Serrano is “definitely Katie’s toughest test to date” ahead of their highly anticipated match up tomorrow.
History will be made as the first female fight to headline Madison Square Garden takes place for undisputed Lightweight Gold.
Serrano is a seven time world champion and has a 42-1-1 record, with many seeing her as the slight favourite heading into the bout.
Jason Quigley expects this to be Taylor’s toughest match-up, but it’s one of the reasons why the fight is so exciting.
"All you have to do is look at her record, look at how many times she’s a world champion, look at how many fights she’s had how many knockouts she’s had, she’s an unbelievable fighter.
"She’s definitely Katie Taylor’s biggest test to date, that’s what makes this fight so exciting."
As Quigley analyses the fight, he believes the first rounds of the fight will be crucial to her chances of victory, with Serrano likely to grow into the fight the longer it goes on.
"The way that I see this fight going, Katie’s going to go out there, win the first four, five rounds, just by pure aggression, pure hands speed, pure volume.
"I believe she’s going to have won the first half of this fight, and if she’s done that I believe she’s going to have won the fight, but still by a close decision.
"If Serrano is to win this fight, I think it’ll be by a late stoppage, I can’t see her winning by points.
But both Quigley's heart and head are calling the fight for the Bray legend.
"My prediction for this fight I’m going with Katie Taylor with a decision win by a close fight."
We can only hope.
