Jason Quigley has recorded a second knockout victory in the space of seven weeks, stopping Mexican fighter Fernando Marin in the third round of their bout in California.
The Donegal native has been on the comeback trail after his loss to Tureano Johnson in July of last year, the only loss of his professional career to date. He has now followed that setback with two wins, moving to a pro record of 18-1.
Quigley dominated the fight from start to finish. You can watch the bout in full below, with the knockout coming just after the 7:30 mark.

Speaking after the win, Ladbrokes ambassador and The Buildup Podcast regular Quigley said he was delighted with his performance (h/t Irish Independent):
It's the first time I controlled my emotions. I let my shots go and did what I do best. He's (Marin) got one hard head. I'm surprised it wasn't stopped earlier.
I wasted too much energy trying to get him out in the second round. He was stunned a few times, but didn't go down.
Eventually he did in the third. Performance-wise I'm very happy. I want to push on now. This keeps the momentum going,
I had a great chat with Eric Gomez (from his promotion company Golden Boy) after the fight and I want to thank them for standing by me.
I know people have been doubting me and I doubted myself at times. I went downhill in terms of the boxing world. It took a lot of change and a lot of people that I love standing by me.
Quigley had been on the verge of a world title fight before his loss last year, but that defeat halted his progress. Now trained by former world champion Andy Lee, the 28-year old will surely have title aspirations once again.
