Donegal middleweight, Jason Quigley, has said that his promoter, Golden Boy has plans to stage a card in Ireland. Golden Boy Promotions is run former six-weight world champion, Oscar de la Hoya.
"I want to fight back in Ireland," Quigley told the Seconds Out.
That's something that's going to happen very shortly. That's something that we're pushing towards.
We're going to bring Golden Boy to Ireland, without a doubt. 100 per cent, Golden Boy in the Republic of Ireland, it's going to make headlines for sure.
We're not 100 per cent sure when that might be, we're going to see how things match-up. Obviously, Spike O'Sullivan is with Golden Boy as well, so maybe have Spike on the card.
Quigley said that his main aim for 2019 is to work himself into world title contention.
The 27-year-old is unbeaten in 15 professional fights with 11 of those wins coming via KO. All of his bouts have been staged in the US.
Earlier this year, Quigley moved his training base from LA, where he had been situated since 2014, to Sheffield and Dominic Ingle's gym.
