In recent years, Jake Paul has made headlines in the boxing world, not just for his celebrity status but also for his dedication to the sport.
While many have criticised him for stepping into the ring without traditional boxing credentials, others have acknowledged his commitment to training and the substantial financial resources he has invested in his boxing career.
This past weekend, Paul made waves by defeating the legendary Mike Tyson, further fuelling the debate about his legitimacy as a boxer.
Among those who recognise his efforts is professional boxer Jason Quigley, who (lightheartedly) expressed a desire to face Paul in the ring if he craves a fight against a real boxer.
Quigley’s perspective sheds light on the ongoing discussions surrounding Paul’s place in boxing and the necessity for him to take on a seasoned opponent.
Jake Paul does need to fight a real fighter, someone who is experienced and has been to that top level you know real fights.
As I’m saying this I’m thinking of myself here.
I give Jake Paul massive credit because the last 4 or 5 years he has dedicated himself to professional boxing, he’s living like a true professional.
Maybe he’s living better and training better than a lot of professionals out there because he has that financial ability to set up these training camps, recovery, sparring partners, best coaches in the world, nutritionists, psychologists, everything like that.
He does need to be tested against a real fighter. And I would love to step into the ring and test him.
It’s no walk in the park to get into the ring with Jake Paul. I believe of course I’d get in there and I’d beat Jake Paul. I would beat him at heavyweight.
At the end of the day Jake Paul needs to fight a legitimate fighter, yes he’s saying he fought Mike Tyson, he knows and we all know that deep down when he puts his head on the pillow at night he done that for views, he done that to get the legend back in the ring.
If he ever does want to fight a real fighter I’m here willing, ready to get in there with him.
He’s on his own path he’s doing amazing things for boxing, he’s getting fighters paid money that they would never have been getting paid before.
I credit the man for what he is a lot of people are hating on him all I can do is clap my hands for him and say well done.
As Paul continues to carve out his niche in the sport, the demand for legitimate competition will only grow.
Quigley v Paul would be some fight, especially at heavyweight. However many expect Paul's next fight to be against other influencers, like his brother Logan Paul.
The future of Jake Paul in boxing may very well hinge on his readiness to accept challenges from real fighters.
