Despite the champion's desire to someday fight in Croke Park, the Tyson Fury-Vladimir Klitschko rematch will likely not take place in Ireland.
It had been thought they might return to Germany for the rematch but now it appears that the UK will host the fight. The 9th of July is the most probable date.
Tyson's uncle and trainer Peter Fury told 'Behind the Gloves' on Sky Sports that they are confident the champ will get a 'home' venue.
July is looking favourite now and hopefully it will be in the UK.
It all looks to be heading in the right direction. Mick Hennessy is working with Team Klitschko around the clock.
The Klitschkos are happy to come to England provided it makes sense obviously so that is what they are working on and I fully expect an announcement in April.
We are not far off announcing it.
Fury considers himself to be Ireland's first heavyweight world champion and is a former Irish heavyweight champion.
He has previously expressed a desire to fight in Croke Park or Old Trafford.
Muhammad Ali fought Al 'Blue' Lewis in Croke Park in 1972 but that was not a title fight, Ali having lost to Joe Frazier the previous year.
