Irish boxer Dennis Hogan is just nine days out from his final hurdle to a world title fight as the Brisbane-based Irishman is set to face England’s Jimmy Kilrain Kelly for the opportunity to fight for the WBO junior middleweight world title.
The contest takes place at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on April 7 with the winner scheduled to become the mandatory contender to the victor of the world title fight between WBO champion and Miguel Cotto-conqueror Sadam Ali and challenger Liam Smith.
The fight will be streamed right across the globe live and FREE on Epicentre.TV.
2 weeks to go
Number 2 in the World vs Number 3
I have never been more ready for a fight in my life be there to witness me become Number 1 in the world 👌 https://t.co/dA4blQnuQn— Dennis Hogan (@dennis_h_hogan) March 23, 2018
Hogan is headlining the 'Revolution' event which is set to be the biggest card in modern Australian history, second only to Jeff Horn’s historic welterweight world title win over Manny Pacquiao in Brisbane last July. Horn has been a sparring partner of Hogans in preparation for the bout and in an interview with the Courier Mail hailed him as the hardest worker he has ever seen.
It’s very motivating for me to see the commitment Dennis has to his boxing. The fight with Kelly next week will be a great bout and I think Dennis can win it and go on to take a world title.
