Donegal boxing prospect Jason Quigley has been tearing the US middleweight scene asunder in recent months, his devastating KO of American Joshua Snyder last week the sixth in as many professional fights under Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions. After just 10 rounds of professional boxing, Quigley's record stands at an impressive 6-0.
And if the 23 year old former European amateur champion and World silver medallist wasn't already the 'Golden Boy' of Ballybofey, he likely is now after the surprise he gave his mother last night.
The LA native told Kevin Byrne of the Irish Sun last week that he still longs for his hometown amidst his real-life California dream, and following his win last week the 23 year old decided to leave the Woodland Hills of Los Angeles for the Hills of his native county, surprising his mother along the way - by hopping out of a car boot no less.
'I'm going, going. Back, back. To Bally, Bally.'
Sorry, just watch:
Big surprise for my mum, sent her home a "present".. Think she got a shock when the boot was opened for her!!! Lol

N'gawww.
There's definitely no danger of Jason Quigley going all 'Hollywood' on us any time soon. Let's hope we get to see him make his professional bow in an Irish ring over the coming months.
