Carl Frampton has been forced to pull out of Saturday's fight against Emmanuel Dominguez in Philadelphia after a freak injury to his hand left him unable to fight.

'The Jackal' released a statement late yesterday saying he would be unable to fight after an ornament accidentally fell on hm in a hotel lobby, breaking a bone in his left hand.

Last night Frampton posted a video that captured the incident in all its freakishness. A person in a hotel lobby appears to have walked through a curtain, pushing a heavy, pillar-style object directly onto Frampton's hand, smashing a wooden table in the process.

It's truly unfortunate for Frampton, who was set to step back into the ring at the weekend for the first time since losing to Josh Warrington in December (and for the first time as Top Rank fighter). Yesterday morning, Frampton posted a video of himself on a treadmill after his last hard training session, looking in serious shape.
