There will be a huge amount for Irish sporting fans to look forward to over the next couple of weeks.
The Tokyo Olympics are now in full flow, with Ireland having quite a few genuine medal hopes across a number of different sports.
With the variety of action on our screens over the coming days, having experts in the studio will be important in keeping us up to date with what is going on. RTÉ have assembled an impressive group to cover the games, with one man standing out early on.
Eric Donovan was part of the channel's boxing coverage earlier today, providing an absolute clinic in top class punditry.
His knowledge of each individual boxer, even those not competing for Ireland, was fantastic.
For example, here was his take on Kurt Walker's path to a potential medal.
🥊@kurtwalker7 has a tough draw against Uzbekistan's Mirazizbek Mirzakhalilov in the next round, but @ericdonovanbox believes he has a good chance #tokyo2020 #olympics #rtesport

He had a similar level of insight for Ireland's other boxers.
Donovan went through the medal hopes Team Ireland may harbour, summing up just how unpredictable Olympic boxing can be.
No doubt Team Ireland's seven boxers have been dealt tough draws but @ericdonovanbox reckons there's a chance of a couple of medals#tokyo2020 #olympics #rtesport

The way the Rio Olympics went for us, we sent our best ever team, our highest ranked team, we expected so much and delivered absolutely nothing.
If we come out of here with a medal or two this will be a huge success. The draw looks very tough, but there are still one or two that I think could really shine and come home with a medal.
Anything can happen, it is the Olympic games.
With a number of our boxers in action over the next few days, we can expect to see plenty more of Eric Donovan on our screens.
Our understanding of the sport and our athletes will be all the better for it.
