Eddie Hearn says he was "disappointed" with Chantelle Cameron's comments accusing him of bias towards Katie Taylor following the rematch between the Irish and English fighters last month. Hearn is the promoter for both boxers.
Cameron told BBC Look East that Hearn was "nearly crying" after she defeated Taylor in Dublin earlier this year and that he was "jumping up and down, happy" after the Irish woman avenged that loss in November.
"I wasn't happy," Hearn told iFL TV about Cameron's remarks.
"I like Chantelle. She never seems to be happy with the job we've done.
"Sometimes we sit down and I say, 'We got you a world title fight behind closed doors, which was very difficult to do, you won that. Then we got you a defence in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay or MGM, wherever it was.
"'Then I created a tournament just for you to get you undisputed. Then in that first fight Dillian Whyte pulled out and I kept that show on to headline with you at the 02 costing me several hundred thousand pounds of losses to keep the show on.
"'Then the tournament fell through because Kayleigh Reece effectively retired and I got you a voluntary defence, which was difficult to put on. Then I got you an undisputed shot in Abu Dhabi against Jessica McCaskill for a lot of money.
"'Then I got you two life and career and legacy-defining fights with Katie Taylor back-to-back, made millions of pounds. I don't know what else we can do'."
Hearn added that he "never jumped up and down and celebrated once" during the rematch.
"Throughout the whole fight, I didn't move, I didn't cheer anybody on," he continued.
"When the decision was announced I didn't show any emotion. What I did do was I gave an emotional speech to the Irish fans with Katie Taylor after the fight. I'm sorry, it was a very emotional time for thousands of Irish people and one of the greatest victories for Irish sport of all time.
"I was disappointed with the comments, I really was. I don't know what else we can do. We've given her time after time, life changing money, legacy fights, undisputed fights, headlining fights, Vegas fights.
"Obviously, I have a close relationship with Katie Taylor. I've been with her from the start. She's the whole reason that we are where we are in women's boxing. I was pleased for her; when Cameron won the first fight, I was pleased for Chantelle.
"[She said] I was crying after the first fight; I wasn't crying at all. It's a fight, once the fight is over, we move on to the next week.
"That referee, when she says, 'Why would you let a referee, referee a fight who know one's ever heard of?' That referee has done over a dozen world title fights.
"By the way, the officials are announced prior [to the fight]. If your team don't like an official, you can lobby to have that official changed. Her team was well aware of the officials. No said anything pre-fight.
"It's not worth the back and forward. I'm sure we'll have a sit down at some point. I was very disappointed in the interview."
Hearn said that he does want the trilogy fight between Cameron and Taylor to take place.
"If everyone is sensible with the numbers, I believe we'll get that fight made," he said.
"There's no hard feelings between myself and Chantelle. I watched the interview and I was just like, 'Wow', but it's boxing.
"We don't all have to go out and have mince pies together, but we want to do good business together.
"I'm very proud of the job we've done for Chantelle. I think we've changed her life. No one else could have delivered the fights that we have."
