Controversy seems to follow Kieren Fallon's career one furlong at a time. This time however the County Clare native seems blameless as the latest headline grabbing event happened over the weekend at Lingfield when he was hit with a punch by owner David Reynolds. A punch which according to a bystander "made a noise so loud you could have heard it in the weighing room" - at this time we are unaware how far away the weighing room was.

The altercation occured moments after Fallon's mount Elna Bright had interfered with Reynolds' horse The Scorching Wind, the interference however, was deemed to be accidental and caused by another horse.

David Reynolds has since apologised to those who were present apart from Fallon whom he claims has his own agenda, Fallon has rejected this as "a coward talking gobbledygook" - a term used by both Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon.  Reynolds now faces a "warning off" of between one and 12 months and a fine of up to £12,000.

Surely Fallon didn't see this coming on his road to redemption -
