Two 18-stone heavyweights went at it tonight as Dillian Whyte put his WBC Silver Heavyweight belt on the line against the 38-year-old, unbeaten Australian, Lucas Browne.
His only previous defeat coming against Anthony Joshua, Whyte was the marginal favourite in a bout that nobody expected to go the distance.
With 38 knockouts between them from a combined 48 fights before tonight, these two ridiculously powerful men held absolutely nothing back. An example of the strength in depth that is returning to boxing's heavyweight division generally, there was plenty of interest in tonight's bout.
However, having been cut early on above the eye, a further cut to the nose signaled the end for Browne.
Continuing to hit and hurt Browne, Whyte's eventual knockout was brutal.

Whyte may now find himself up against Deontay Wilder next, and according to his post-fight comments, that's exactly what he wants.
