After his fight with Chris Eubank Jr. on Saturday night - which was stopped in the tenth round - Nick Blackwell was put in a medically induced coma.

The 25-year-old sustained bleeding to his brain.

The referee subsequently received criticism for not stopping the fight earlier.

At a press conference on Wednesday to announce his fight with the unbeaten Arnold Gjergjaj, David Haye committed to giving ten per cent of his earnings from ticket sales to Blackwell.

I’m going to donate 10 per cent of the earnings from ticket sales from my fight to Nick.

He’s only in this situation because he’s so tough and has got so much heart.

He’s what British boxing wants in its fighters and I want to wish him and all his family all the best.

Haye has just recently returned to boxing after three year a half years out of the ring. In January, he has a TKO win again Australian  Mark de Mori.
