Beaten easily on points in Tuesday night's first press conference, Conor McGregor had Floyd Mayweather on the ropes inside the opening minutes of Wednesday's second media event in Toronto.
McGregor was caught off guard at the Staples Center on Tuesday, unaware that the fighters were expected to step up to the podium and give a speech. Mayweather was prepared for the situation, McGregor was not.
Last night, he didn't just come out all guns blazing, he carpet-bombed those on stage associated with Mayweather, including Showtime vice-president Stephen Espinoza. The undefeated boxer has long had a deal with Showtime. The broadcaster is also carrying August 26th's fight in the US.
Just minutes earlier, like on Tuesday, Espinoza had stepped up to the microphone to give a nervous speech no one was particularly interested in. The crowd let him know as much.
That was followed by some pointed words from McGregor who appeared to hold Espinoza responsible for having his microphone cut during the first media event.
