We have a new entry in the Irish Moral Victory Hall of Fame: Conor McGregor has been stopped in the tenth round by Floyd Mayweather, but managed to navigate his debut fight as a professional without hitting the canvas whatsoever.
After the fight, McGregor gave a very upbeat interview to Showtime, in which he congratulated Mayweather on his composure, and admitted his fatigue. He also admonished the referee for not allowing Mayweather the opportunity to put him on the canvas.
McGregor, however, beamed throughout....like a man who had kept his reputation and profited to the tune of a hundred million dollars.
