Disgracefully, Michael Conlan has been eliminated from the Olympics at the quarter-final stage.
Judges scored the contest unanimously for his Russian opponent Vladimir Nikitin when everyone watching knew Conlan should have been declared the victor.
Going into the fight there were fears that the Belfast boxer could be the victim of some dodgy decisions - and so it proved.
In the heavyweight final on Monday night, Russian fighter Evgeny Tishchenko was on the end of a suspiciously favourable decision against Kazakhstan's Vasily Levitt.
Like the Kazakh, Conlan was also subject to the whim of the judges.
The reaction on RTÉ was one of incredulity. It was similar on BBC where former middleweight world champion Richie Woodhall was on co-commentary duty.
Woodhall said he was 'speechless' that Conlan had lost. The Englishman believed Conlan had, without doubt, 'out-boxed' his opponent.
Here's the video.
