Andy Lee's world title defence against Billy Joe Saunders has been rescheduled for October 10th at the Manchester Arena, following reports that the card was in jeopardy.
Lee vs Saunders will take place on a triple world title bill, alongside fellow WBO champion at lightweight, Terry Flanagan.
Speaking to Off to Ball on Newstalk, Frank Warren confirmed that Ireland's middleweight champion has a slight virus, and scheduling conflicts wouldn't allow for his mandatory title defence to take place at the home of Munster Rugby at a later date in the Autumn.

Warren also told Off the Ball that should Lee defend his belt, he will likely defend his title once more in Limerick next spring.
Lee's rescheduled bout now takes place on the same weekend as Ireland's Rugby World Cup pool match with France, and the national football team's Euro qualifying clash with Poland in Warsaw.
