December 19th is the new date for Andy Lee's defence of his WBO middleweight title against Billy Joe Saunders. It will (hopefully) take place at the Manchester Arena.
The fight was previously scheduled for September 19th at Thomond Park but had to be rescheduled for October 10th at the Manchester Arena, with Andy Lee having a virus given as the reason.
The October 10th date was then cancelled due to Saunders sustaining a cut above his right eye in sparring.

This will be Lee's first defence of the belt which he won against Matt Korobov in December of last year. His first defence - which was scheduled to be against Peter Quillin in April - was downgraded to a non-title bout as Quillin did not make weight. That fight ended in a split draw.
