Amir Khan Accuses Wife Of Cheating On Him With Anthony Joshua In Extraordinary Twitter Spat

Former world champion boxer Amir Khan has split from his wife, Faryal Makhdoom, and confirmed the news on Twitter earlier today. What began has a relatively understated announcement, however, descended into a series of insults traded by the pair, with Khan accusing her of cheating on him with the heavyweight champion of the world, Anthony Joshua.

Earlier this afternoon, Khan announced the split from Dubai, where he is currently on holiday.

Things then took a turn, as Khan accused Faryal of moving on quickly, claiming she had cheated on him with Joshua:

The entire thing became exceptionally undignified, as Khan's tweet storm continued, ironically claiming she had "moved up in weight classes", before calling her a "goldigger" and saying that Joshua "can have my left overs".

Faryal responded via her own account, claiming that Khan had cheated on her, and objected to her being called a "goldigger".

Specifically, on the "Joshua can have my left overs" tweet, Faryal hit back by saying:

This didn't escape the attentions of Joshua, who tweeted Shaggy's It Wasn't Me in denial, going on to clarify that they had never met.

This is not the first time tribulations in Khan's personal life has played out in public. In February, Khan sacked his father as his manager, who told the Daily Mail that he was "humiliated", and claimed his sacking was orchestrated by Faryal.
