Former world champion boxer Amir Khan has split from his wife, Faryal Makhdoom, and confirmed the news on Twitter earlier today. What began has a relatively understated announcement, however, descended into a series of insults traded by the pair, with Khan accusing her of cheating on him with the heavyweight champion of the world, Anthony Joshua.
Earlier this afternoon, Khan announced the split from Dubai, where he is currently on holiday.
So me and the wife Faryal have agreed to split. I'm currently in Dubai. Wish her all the best.

Things then took a turn, as Khan accused Faryal of moving on quickly, claiming she had cheated on him with Joshua:
Faryal moved on quick. Always mentioned to me how much she wanted to be with another guy, from all people another boxer 🙄 @anthonyfjoshua pic.twitter.com/1GBAQnvzMC

The entire thing became exceptionally undignified, as Khan's tweet storm continued, ironically claiming she had "moved up in weight classes", before calling her a "goldigger" and saying that Joshua "can have my left overs".
Lol moved up in the weight classes lol. Trust me I ain't the jealous type. No need to send me pictures of the men your talking to #disgusted

Faryal responded via her own account, claiming that Khan had cheated on her, and objected to her being called a "goldigger".
Specifically, on the "Joshua can have my left overs" tweet, Faryal hit back by saying:
And it continued...
This didn't escape the attentions of Joshua, who tweeted Shaggy's It Wasn't Me in denial, going on to clarify that they had never met.

Bantz aside, I hope you guys can resolve your situation or this is a hack as we have never even met! Plus I like my women BBW #ItWasntMe

This is not the first time tribulations in Khan's personal life has played out in public. In February, Khan sacked his father as his manager, who told the Daily Mail that he was "humiliated", and claimed his sacking was orchestrated by Faryal.
