Regardless of how entertaining Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Paqcuiao may or may not have been, the financial benefits for both fighters were astronomical.
While he may not be the most likable person on the planet, Floyd 'Money' Mayweather strolled down to the ring along side Justin Beiber and the Burger King at the MGM Grand this past weekend safe in the knowledge that he was going to get paid handsomely. Never shy to let everyone know just how well he is doing, Mayweather showed off his cheque for $100m in a post fight interview with ESPN:
It's not everyday you see a man carrying a $100m cheque in his tracksuit pocket. At least he was sensible enough to not flash the details.
Manny Pacquiao has since announced that he plans to donate half of his earnings to charity.
