Having easily dispatched Chris Avalos in Belfast last month, Carl Frampton is now firmly in negotiations for his next fight. The IBF World Super Bantamweight champion is locked in talks with Scott Quigg and his team for what would be a massive unification fight.
Quigg's team are making noises that Frampton must agree to a fight within two weeks or the bout could be off the table. Speaking to the Irish Sun this week, Frampton addressed those negotiations, making it clear that he is not worried that the potentially lucrative fight won't happen.
Quigg's camp have been attempting to put a squeeze on things but Frampton says that is simply English boxer's trainer making noises, something which will have no effect on the negotiations.
"It's only Joe Gallagher really and he has as much to do with the negotiations as my left ball bag".
Wait, what? Left ball bag. That would indicate that there's a right one as well. Frampton took to twitter to make it clear that he doesn't think he has multiple scrotums and that this was merely a misquote.
The interviewer, Kevin Byrne, put it down to a misunderstanding of Northern Irish phraseology, which we can all forgive him for. And to be fair, there could be worse things to be afflicted with.
@KevooByrne are you suggesting I have two ballbags? Surely two balls in one bag? pic.twitter.com/x4Rcj5P4Wo
