After six years of mundanely routine false dawns and numerous breakdowns in negotiations, the most eagerly anticipated fight in two decades will finally take place on Saturday week, as Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather - at last - square off in Las Vegas.
The promotion for what looks set to be the most lucrative fight in boxing history - with upwards of $450m expected to be generated - has been largely low-key, perhaps understandably given the fight will ultimately sell itself.
Pac-Man did drop by ABC studios last night for a rare public appearance during training camp, and he was given some rather expletive advice on how to deal with his undefeated opponent from heralded television psychologist, Dr. Phil.

Pacquiao was of course in town to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and amidst the boxing chatter, the two friends gave a haunting rendition of “Lalaban Ako Para sa Pilipino" - or, "I Am Going to Fight for Filipinos" - a song written by Pacquiao himself which will play during his ringwalk in the MGM Grand on Saturday week.
'Beautiful,' 'melodic,' and 'catchy' are some of the words that simply can't be used to describe the song, but if it does the job for Pac-Man on the 2nd of May, we could see fireworks. Bring it on.
