Had Peter Quillin not gotten away with standing on Andy Lee's foot as he knocked him down in the third round, there's a good chance the Limerick man would have beaten the American. Lee lost that round 10-8.
In the picture below you can clearly see Quillin with his left boot planted on his opponent's right.
Instead the fight ended as a split draw with the judges scoring it 113-112, 113-113 and 112-113. As you can see from the official scorecard above, Quillin actually required a win in the final round for it to finish all level.
It really was a remarkable comeback from the Irish fighter when you consider how dazed he looked after being dropped just 150 seconds into the fight.
