The series is about the Toronto Raptors sealing their maiden NBA championship after last night's win made it 4-2 over the Golden State Warriors, but the story of game 6 is the remarkable resolve of Klay Thompson.
Thompson was Golden State's game leader with 30 points, doing his all to fill the considerable void left after Kevin Durant's injury. Late in the third quarter, Thompson drove towards the rim and was fouled. In doing so he landed awkwardly and immediately grabbed his left knee. It was later confirmed to be his ACL.
Yet as he was led away to the changing room, Thompson turned and came back. The Oracle Arena in Oakland exploded as the 29-year-old walked to the line and made back-to-back free-throws.

It was then officials stood in, the Durant damage still ringing in their ears, to remove Thompson from the game.
"Klay is crazy, to say the least," exclaimed his team-mate Draymond Green post-match.
The two-time defending champions were dethroned, but boy, did they go down fighting.
