Episodes Three and Four of The Last Dance arrived on Netflix today after airing on ESPN last night in the US and there's even more basketball gold for viewers. The notorious Dennis Rodman is the unquestioned star of these episodes.
Rodman may be best known to Irish people as the tattooed ex-basketball player who went to North Korea with Matt Cooper, but he was one of the best basketball of the 1990s, despite being one of sport's all-time leading weirdos. Rodman played an essential role in the great Bulls team and is still seen as the best rebounder in the history of the game. He also dated Madonna and Carmen Electra and kept finding himself in Las Vegas in the middle of the season. The latest episodes of The Last Dance deal with how Rodman juggled weirdness and greatness, and how that imbalance sometimes jeopardised the team.
One of the maddest stories in this week's instalment details how Michael Jordan had to personally travel to Las Vegas to retrieve Rodman, who was on a 48-hour holiday in Sin City in the middle of the NBA season. Jordan found Rodman in a hotel room with model Carmen Electra.
Michael Jordan: “I’m not gonna say who was in [Dennis Rodman’s] bed.”
Carmen Electra: “Theres a knock on the door. It’s Michael Jordan.” https://t.co/vyC9HHOjTW— Alex Salvi (@alexsalvinews) April 27, 2020
There's loads of classic Rodman in The Last Dance, but it only really scratches the surface of Rodmania. Here are some of the best Rodman stories online that weren't in the documentary.

I truly hope the producers of #TheLastDance tapped @Billy Corgan to tell Dennis Rodman stories like this one.

The time Rodman disappeared during the NBA Finals to join Hulk Hogan and the NWO.
What cracked me up most about Dennis Rodman disappearing in Vegas for multiple days during the 1998 season as detailed in Episode 4 is — later in the season, Rodman skipped a practice during the NBA Finals to appear on WCW alongside Hollywood Hogan and the NWO. 😂 #TheLastDance pic.twitter.com/FnbxrB3Tn6

No doubt there are thousands of even madder Rodman stories that will never be told due to their extreme adult content. Yet for all his madness, these last two episodes also prove how serious Rodman was about his craft as a power forward.
We're very much looking forward to episodes five and six.
