CJ Fulton has committed to play his college basketball with NCAA Division One team Lafayette University.
The Belfast teenager moved to the US last year to study and play basketball at the Wichendon School just outside Boston.
The decision, intended to be a one-year audition for American colleges, has paid off. He had turned down offers from academies in Florida and Spain to join the Boston school.
