A remarkable last-minute mark and score from Laois's Zach Tuohy secured Geelong Cats a crucial 16.4 (100) to 4.14 (98) victory over Melbourne today in their AFL encounter.
The result marked a fantastic comeback from Geelong who went in five points down at half-time and trailed for the rest of the game until Touhy's final contribution. The Irishman set up the after siren kick with a superb stretch and catch. After consulting the referee, Touhy was aware that he had a chance to secure the win with the last kick of the match and he duly delivered.

This had been an outstanding year already for Tuohy. The former Laois minor footballer became just the fourth Irish player to reach 150 AFL appearances last April while Geelong are currently seventh in a closely packed AFL table.
