While you were asleep, Mayo's Pearce Hanley was busy tearing it up for the Brisbane Lions in the AFL against Gold Coast Suns last night. Hanley won the game's Marcus Ashcroft medallist, essentially the man of the match. Hanley scored two goals and made 28 successful disposals - tackles, in vernacular - in a critical win for the Lions that lifts them to 14th in the league. The highlight of his performance was this superb solo goal:

Martin was concussed in the incident, and Steven May has been 'reported', meaning he will face suspension, and rightly so.
