An Irish winner of this season’s AFLW is guaranteed after North Melbourne and Adelaide Crows secured their place in the preliminary finals
In a thrilling encounter that saw North Melbourne score ten goals, Vikki Wall helped her side to a 74-38 win over Richmond. While she failed to add to her goal tally this season, Wall’s pace caused Richmond problems all game, making five disposals and six tackles as they put in their best attacking display of the season.

Erika O’Shea missed today’s game with an eye-injury, but should be fit enough to play in the preliminary final against Melbourne. In the equivalent of the All-Ireland semi-finals, it will have a very Irish feel to the game as they will face Sinead Goldrick and Blaithin Mackin for a place in the Grand Final.
In a game that was delayed and interrupted due to lightning, Niamh Kelly helped Adelaide to a 23-11 win over Collingwood in difficult conditions. After Adelaide scored a goal through Eloise Jones after just 15 seconds, they never turned back as last season’s champions aim to defend their AFLW title.

Niamh Kelly had 10 disposals in the game in a very physical encounter, while they were without Clare Ailish Considine through injury, who aims to be back for next weekend’s preliminary final against Brisbane.
Orla O’Dwyer and Brisbane have looked unstoppable this season with just one defeat in the entire campaign, and will fancy themselves to win the entire tournament, with O’Dwyer a key part of their success.
For Sarah Rowe and Aisling Sheridan, their season comes to an end after some brilliant performances from both players through the campaign, Sheridan was one of the best players on the pitch in midfield, making six tackles and seven disposals, while Rowe made seven tackles and six disposals.
