Cora Staunton reached the 50-goal mark in her sixth season of AFLW action on Sunday.
The Mayo woman scored three goals as her Greater Western Sydney Giants side lost their opening game of the season 41-34 to the Western Bulldogs.

The 40-year-old, the oldest player in the AFLW, was marked by Isabella Grant - a player half her age - throughout the game but Staunton won the duel.
"What we did see is that Cora did Cora things, and kicked her few, but we've certainly got more avenues to goal," said Giants captain Alicia Eva.

Only Darcy Vescio has scored more goals in the AFLW than the Carnacon forward.
She has reached the half century in just 41 games of AFLW action. Staunton scored five goals in 2018, six in 2019, eight in 2020, 10 in 2021, and 18 last season as she finished just one behind leading goalkicker Ashleigh Woodland.
50 CAREER GOALS
A THIRD GOAL for @duckie15 in Round 1 moves her on to a HALF CENTURY of Career GOALS.
